CVR MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor

Give your AI assistant access to Danish companies and annual-report figures. Ask in plain language, for example: find machinery manufacturers in Central Jutland with more than 20 employees, and get answers with CVR numbers and key figures from the annual reports.

Free during the beta: 20,000 credits a month, no card needed.

By creating an account you accept the terms on behalf of your business.

What is a CVR MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor use outside tools. A CVR MCP server is one of those tools: when you ask about a Danish company, the assistant looks it up in CVR data instead of guessing or relying on what it learned months ago.

You connect it once with the address https://leadstrategist.dk/mcp, sign in with your Lead Strategist account, and from then on the assistant can search, compare and summarise Danish companies whenever you ask.

The server is read-only: the assistant can look things up, but it cannot change anything, and it never sees data about people.

What the assistant can see

Company data for about 948,000 companies

  • Name, CVR number, status and legal form
  • Founding date and industry (code and name)
  • Address, postcode, municipality and region (for companies; not for sole proprietorships)
  • Phone and email when the company has registered them in CVR
  • Advertising protection (reklamebeskyttelse), with a contact warning

Annual-report figures for about 460,000 companies

  • Revenue (when reported), gross profit and EBIT
  • Net income, equity and total assets
  • Average number of employees
  • Reporting period and accounting class, several years back where available

Search and lead lists

  • Filter by name, industry code, municipality, postcode, region, employees and revenue
  • Up to 50 companies per call, sorted by revenue
  • Companies with advertising protection are left out unless you ask for them

Not included: owners, board members or other data about people, and no credit ratings.

Company data is synced daily from CVR early each morning; new annual reports are fetched from Virk three times a day. Source: the Danish Central Business Register (CVR) and the annual reports companies file with the Danish Business Authority, CC BY 4.0.

MCP server compared with the usual alternatives

Without an MCP server, the assistant has to rely on web search or on what you paste in. This is how the options typically differ.

Questions

What is an MCP server?
A service that an AI assistant can call while it answers you. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and other assistants use for this. Ours gives the assistant read-only access to Danish company data and annual-report figures.
Which assistants does it work with?
Claude (custom connectors, also on Claude Free with one connector), ChatGPT in developer mode (Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu), Cursor, the OpenAI API and other MCP clients that support remote servers.
What does it cost?
Nothing while we are in beta: every account gets 20,000 credits per account per month, no card needed. One successful lookup or search uses one credit, and failed calls are free. After the beta, prepaid credits start at 50 kr and plans at 39 kr a month excl. VAT, and we email you at least 30 days before paid plans start.
Can the assistant make up CVR numbers or figures?
The server only returns what is in CVR and the annual reports, and the assistant is told never to invent CVR numbers or contact details. Like any AI answer, check important figures; every answer includes the CVR number, so you can look it up.
Is it safe to connect?
The server is read-only and has no write tools. You sign in with OAuth and approve read access, and you can disconnect at any time. It contains no data about people.
What is the difference between the MCP server and the API?
Same data, same account. The MCP server is for asking in plain language in an AI assistant; the REST API is for your own code and integrations.
