How to use Danish CVR data in ChatGPT and Claude

Anyone who works in B2B sales knows the routine: you look for companies in a certain industry and of a certain size, export a list, and spend the rest of the afternoon looking up annual reports one by one. With an MCP connection, your AI assistant can do the groundwork for you.

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor fetch data from external sources. Lead Strategist is one such source: an MCP server with Danish CVR data and figures from published annual reports.

Once the connection is set up, your AI decides by itself when to look something up. You just ask the question.

Three questions that work well

1. Find a target group: "Find active machinery manufacturers with at least 20 employees, sorted by revenue."
2. Qualify a company: "Look up CVR number 12345678 and show how revenue and profit developed over the last five years."
3. Compare: "Compare equity and profit for the five largest companies on the list and explain the differences."

Your AI combines the search (search_companies) with the financial history (get_financials) and explains the result in plain language.

Things to keep in mind

• Advertising protection: Companies that have opted out of marketing are excluded by default. Respect that, also when you work with the results elsewhere.
• Data basis: Master data comes from a CVR extract from autumn 2025, and the financial figures are being improved continuously. Always check critical information on virk.dk.
• People and owners: Lead Strategist does not yet contain data on owners, boards or other people.
